With reference to your letter (72381/30) of 3rd March
regarding the proposed Hong Kong-China Customs Agreement, I am
directed by the Board of Trade to suggest, for Lord Passfield's
consideration, that the terms of the final paragraph of the
telegram to the Officer administering the Government of Hong
Kong should be as follows:-
Board of Trade are doubtful as to omission from
new draft of provision for bonded warehouses.
Copy
of their letter follows by mail.
The letter referred to is, of course, that which they
caused to be addressed to you on 4th March.
A copy of this letter is being sent to the Foreign Office.
